Which One’s Better for Your Yard?

Choose Drip Irrigation if:

  • You’ve got veggies, shrubs, or native plants in a row
  • You want water to go straight to the roots—no waste, no weeds
  • You’re mulching your beds (drip works great under mulch!)
  • You care about saving water and money

Choose Micro Emitters if:

  • Your plants are spaced unevenly or scattered
  • You’ve got small pots, hanging baskets, or flower beds
  • You want to see the water coverage (visual folks love this)
  • You’re okay using a bit more water for that lush look

Mr. Lee’s Real-World Tips (from years in Seattle yards)

  • I usually install drip lines for veggie beds, native landscapes, and pollinator gardens. Clean, efficient, and you barely notice they’re there.
  • Micro emitters are great for artistic garden beds or potted arrangements, especially when you want to cover more ground without dragging a hose.
  • Always use a filter and pressure regulator—Seattle water pressure is no joke, and you don’t want blown lines.
